The pictorial work of Jesús Cuevas is based on impressionism, which is characterized by the mobility of phenomena rather than the conceptual nature of things.

The colors and textures that he creates with his artistic techniques captures the states of mind that becomes the protagonists of each of the piece.

Since 2002 Jesús Cuevas has had an active participation in the cultural field of Oaxaca, he has had more than 30 collective exhibitions inside and outside the State, as well as abroad; 15 individual exhibitions in the State of Oaxaca and outside of it.

The techniques that he dominates are diverse, clearly seen in each of the works that he has made, where he has painted and represented the different states of mind, telling real and imaginary stories, which is demonstrated by the color and shapes of his paintings.
