He assumes himself as an emotional painter and says that his daily life is so linked to his art, that he cannot distinguish whether the events of life affect his painting or whether it is painting that affects his personal life.

The stylistic journey of Saúl Castro has a marked influence of oriental art, where he has found the spiritual balance to achieve his artistic creation. He comprises figurative elements, while combining an abstract style with tendencies towards minimalism.

This combination creates a harmonious and peaceful environment, managing to evoke a sense of peace.

In his career as an illustrator, painter, sculptor and engraver, he has exhibited in different spaces within the Mexican Republic, to name a few: Gallery, Art of Oaxaca, Museum of Mexican History (Monterrey), Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca, Casa LAMM ( Mexico City) and abroad in countries such as Japan, Spain, Argentina, the United States and Italy.
